New
Construction Prakas slated
The Ministry of Land Management, Urban
Planning and Construction announced that it is drafting a new prakas,
or edict, in an attempt to reinforce regulations in Cambodia’s
construction sector.
The ministry is drawing up the new
construction law with the assistance of local architects, engineer and
international law makers, Lao Tip Seiha, construction department
director at the Ministry of Land Management Urban Planning and

US pending home sales fall
slightly but sales expected to rise up to 10% in 2012
Nationwide
US pending home sales were down slightly in February but remain notably
above the pattern in the first half of last year, according to the
latest figures from the National Association of Realtors.
Its Pending Home
Sales Index, a forward looking indicator based on contract signings, eased
0.5% to 96.5 in February from 97 in January but is 9.2% above February
2011 when it was 88.4.
